When the weather turns chilly, there's nothing more comforting than a bowl of steaming soup. Our sea moss soup is not only delicious but also packed with nutrients, making it a perfect choice for a healthy and satisfying meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (carrots, celery)
  • 2 tablespoons sea moss gel
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Cooked chicken or lentils for added protein

Instructions:

  1. SautΓ© the vegetables: Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sautΓ© until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the broth and vegetables: Pour in the vegetable broth and chopped vegetables. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.Β
  3. Stir in the sea moss gel: Add the sea moss gel and stir until it is fully dissolved.
  4. Season and serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, you can also add cooked chicken or lentils for extra protein. Serve hot and enjoy!

Tips:

  • For a more flavorful soup, use a homemade vegetable broth or a high-quality store-bought broth.
  • If you don't have fresh vegetables, you can use frozen.
  • Adjust the cooking time depending on the thickness of the vegetables. The soup should be simmered until the vegetables are tender but not mushy.
  • If you find the soup is too thick, you can add more vegetable broth.
  • Garnish the soup with fresh herbs, such as parsley or cilantro, for added flavor and presentation.

Benefits of Sea Moss

Sea moss is a type of seaweed that is rich in nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It may offer a variety of health benefits, such as:

  • Improved digestion: Sea moss contains fiber, which can help to promote regular bowel movements and relieve constipation.
  • Boosted immune system: Sea moss is a good source of antioxidants, which can help protect the body from damage caused by free radicals.
  • Skin health: Sea moss may help to improve skin health and promote collagen production.
  • Weight management: Sea moss may help to promote weight loss by suppressing appetite and increasing metabolism.

Additional Notes:

  • Sea moss is a natural product and may interact with certain medications. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional before using sea moss if you are taking any medications or have any underlying health conditions.
  • Sea moss can have a slightly slimy texture. If you find this off-putting, you can strain the soup before serving.

Enjoy this delicious and healthy soup!
